Do you write a lot of poems for Twin Dragons? Becouse if yes, I have a lot of missed content and would like a list of pages I have to reread just becouse of you.
One in the comments of every page for the past couple years, at a minimum. Wouldn’t be surprised if Welsh Rat started with the very start of the comic. Book a weekend.
Not quite from the start. None for the first two chapters, one each page after.
Yeah, Welsh Rat does poems for every page. While an entire reread of the archives is a pleasure in itself (of which I have indulged many times) his’ poems in the comments are an additional delight.
And multiple comics. I’m not sure how many. I know at least two, the other being “Housepets!” comic

Oh, she meant the cards, not the actual dragons. That makes much more sense.
Ugh, I feel you, Nomi. I have a bookshelf full of manga and a dresser full of games on two different modern consoles and seven different “outmoded” consoles. If I wanted to get into, say, cosplay, I’d have to cut into the budget for one or both of THOSE hobbies to support THAT hobby.
And that’s not even getting into the random-acquisition nature of a TCG! I stopped playing TCG before I got into manga SPECIFICALLY because my luck for random draws is Mulch. I can buy three volumes of manga with the amount of money I once spent on TCG cards trying AND FAILING to get something specific. People say anime is the “crack is cheaper” hobby, but nothing in anime risks demanding as much money as a trading card game.
Nomi must have been to a few cons. And Kaya learns about the cards. I think Kaya may need to attend a few sessions with Benji.
oh yes, we all know the pain of having to forsake the siren call of a new hobby due to money constraints – for me its weaving. the initial hardware i could manage after saving for a bit, but the wool? so. many. pretty. colours! i just know i´d end up with a closet full of yarn and not enough time to actually use it *cries*
I don’t know about that. Synergy helps, but the deck Yugi inherited from his grandfather seems like a real grab bag of cards with no synergy at all. And yet Yugi wins every game he plays. And also, come on Yugi! Get a backbone and build your own deck.
That deck sucks pretty hard tbh, and Yugi cheats (well, to be fair, NO ONE in the show follows any rules…….). Not that Yugi ever play anyway, he just summons “deux ex machina pharao TM” to fight his battles for him (and to cheat even harder)

Well looks like Kaya is maybe interested in picking up the game, especially if she can play dragons. Now will she take Nomi’s advice and choose one kind or will she look for a way to make both work?
Man I can relate to that last panel. I only have enough expendable income for one children’s card game thank you.
“Urge to collect cards rising?” Not for me, thank you, but for Nomi and possibly Kaya, I can see this occurring right now.
Ohh, that’s what Kaya was referring to! She was talking about Eastern and Western Dragons in the card game, that makes a lot of sense since you’d think Kaya was familiar with the various types of Dragons in mythology since she is one (partially). Glad to see Nomi return and make friends with Kaya the friendly Dragon, I wonder if they could sing karaoke duets… Speaking of Nomi, she could ask for a deck for her birthday and/or Christmas, that “might” keep her parents from complaining about her expensive hobbies, emphasis on might. Imagine Kaya somehow making a combo Eastern and Western Dragon deck that works without realizing how difficult it should be!
Is Kaya going to run/pounce over to Nora? Will she recognize the Doom Bunny without her looking her best? Would Kaya be disappointed that Nora isn’t wearing her cosplay? Benji seems to be. And where will Kai pop up? Talking with Benji over how the tournament is progressing? He’s likely to ask Nora to kick Amy’s butt, given how aggravating she can be as an opponent.
Kaya already met Nora in casual clothes. And she did not pounce on her at all, but showed surprisingly much respect to Nora’s personal space: It took her three pages to even be in the same panel.
Oh, right.
The cost could be a problem to Kaya too. The Romeros aren’t exactly swimming in money. As we remember, Marco was short of money to get the restaurant ready to open.
Nomi is back! But her ‘friends’ left – I guess we will never know what they think about her purchase.
Girl, same. I LOVE building decks and finding synergies, but as they say, “Crack is Cheaper”.
Oh, so Kaya does know about different dragons, she was just commenting about their existence in the card game on the last page.
Maybe her parents would force her to give up one of her existing hobbies if she got into this one.

I feel bamboozled, at least a little bit. Although it makes sense in context, it’s just slightly disappointing that Kaya was talking about *card game* dragons and not in-universe IRL dragons between the last panel of last week and the whole thing of this week.
It’s still cool world building to have the different dragon types in the in-universe card game, so I’m okay with how it went.
This mini-arc of the Convention Arc is focused on the card game. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t presume that Kaya was talking about that.
Because it’s *Kaya* talking, and she’s the type of character who would be most likely to break the scene into a new scene.
We know that one of Nomi’s hobbies involves collecting (and probably maintaining) rare collectables. In theory, they should increase in value over time, making them worth more. Particularly with “Hollywood” currently having a trend of refusing to try/fund new ideas, and just recycling old series.
So glad for Magic the Gathering Arena. Were MTG is online. You only have to pay for cards with game money from doing quests. Like play 25 lands, kill 25 monsters or play so many colored cards. Or special stuff with real money if yo want to.
😢 I was so hopeful for this. jonesnate is right that was a very disappointing twist even I wanted it to happen and I was so hoping that they where Chinese dragons then they could be able to fly if they learned from another hybrid that is just like them guess I’m going back to the drawing board 😮💨
Well, I’m glad I don’t have to rewrite my future fanfic where Kai finds out he’s a Eastern dragon. Now I just gotta finish the damn things.
I just realized how small Nomi is, especially when you consider that Kai and Kaya are relatively short.
I really don’t understand the allure of “Collectible Card Games”… I’m more a “Tabletop Role-Playing Games” guy: I started with D&D Becmi when I was 12, and now I’m 51!
