Well, good luck Nora and Benji!
Let the games begin!!!
so basically a chaos-deck? makes sense, since her poor luck would kill every normal strategy anyway
Outsider deck? Deck of lonely cards?
New fanfic! Near Dating Part II
Let me know what you think!
it’s an RNG deck with dice, isn’t it?
So Nora’s deck costs nothing to build, probably because she makes it out of whatever blind pack she buys. With her luck, I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that she mostly gets cards that are useless because she can’t get any other cards to compliment them…
I see Kai and Kaya know the lingo for the card game, I wonder when they learned it. Benji specializes in swarm cards, so would his weakness be a pest exterminator deck? Or maybe a monster that eats swarms of bugs, like ant eaters or lizards? Of course, you could just kill ’em with fire via afire wielding monster. Just keep the cards away from Kai and Kaya if they’re going to sneeze.
It sounds like Nora’s deck is cobbled together from a bunch of random cards that most players don’t use. Maybe it’s because they’re really difficult to use properly? Or they rely too much on conditions? Nora and Benji have at least implied that some of her cards are designed for negating any benefits derived from luck in order to whomp Amy’s cotton tail… I wonder who Benji’s opponent is in the first round, given that he doesn’t recognize the name, it’s probably a new character.
Swarm decks, or go-wide decks, usually create lots of small creatures – emphasis on small. Each one might only do one damage, but that doesn’t matter when you’ve got a hundred of them and your opponent can only block five, you’ll still get enough damage through to kill them.
Swarm decks usually have two weaknesses. The first is the “small” bit – cards with effects like “All creatures take one damage” will wipe out the entire swarm in one go. The second is whatever you’re using to generate the swarm – if your opponent can take that out before you build up too far, your whole game plan is screwed.
It’s my understanding Nora’s deck isn’t just what she gets in packs. She probably does a bunch of trades with advantage. Unlike Benji, she probably gets *multiple* so called junk cards for her valuable rares.
I agree with Benji’s play style. Overwhelming numbers and big unga bunga bosses. Not exactly elegant, but your opponent has to deal with it somehow
Panel 5: Should “hit or miss” be hyphenated?
Could be. Generally isn’t.
The Rocket Dragons ask questions
and win nary a clue
about their friend’s powerful decks
and what they can do.
Amy proceeds to do her chosen duty
and wipe out the foe.
Her bad luck can be unpleasant
and she likes it so.
The tournament begins with her game
and Benji plays too.
If they both get to fight the final
what are the pair do?
I meant Amy. (Looks shifty) Her good luck is bad for everyone else.
You left out a “to” in the last line?
Please disregard the question mark, I meant that as a period and I can’t edit my posts here.
Annoying, isn’t it?
Verily, ’tis that. Better to correct mistakes, but alas, we can’t.
Diolch yn fawr iawn, regardless.
I want EVERYone nice to do well. 🙂
Oh gawd, Nora is a chaos deck builder….anything goes. I loved playing that.
