Being positive
Being adopted always brings some issues when you grow up. Being an adopted hybrid is little different, it just adds another question on top of the pile. Luckily, Benji has a positive outlook.

I wonder if the shower clogs up regularly… 😀
Oh, you have no idea xD
Considering the Romeros are reptillian-ish, do they have problems with shed skin and/or scales?
Also, there are hair traps for showers and stuff for this kind of problem.
Don’t shower drains clog up regularly anyway for perfectly ordinary people?
Actually, all considered, the hairs would be much shorter and go down the drain more easily, but in larger quantities… so chances are any blockages would be far deeper in the pipes. Awkward.
Hi, just discovered this comic, love the art and characters.
I know you are keeping the tone of this comic very light, but I would expect that abandonment would be quite common for some hybrids. Not to mention that racism would be much more pervalent than just one backwards town.
This is true, that’s why there are cities like these where they are accepted. Most families with hybrids move to these cities at some point.
I’ve just discovered it too! Checked it out because the logo looks similar to the TwoKinds one 😛
Looking forward for future strips 😀
Thanks, I looked around at other webcomics for inspiration for my own logo. So it’s not so strange that you might see some influence from the TwoKinds logo :p
I just found your comic today, and I am hooked. Its got good art, interesting characters, and some great humor. I definitely plan to follow this one!
Thank you, I’m glad you like the comic.
I just discovered this comic. I really enjoyed it so far. The twins are cute and I can’t wait to see where this is all going.
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoy the comic. ^^
Just discovered this one, and love it already, can’t wait for the next strip
Thanks, I’m glad you like the comic ^^
Just found this today. I love both it, and gaming dragons. the twins are so cute. and kaya’s boundless energy is fun! the little fangs just make them even cuter. I cant wait to see where this goes, and I hope this is a nice long running comic.
Thanks, I’m glad you like it ^^
Twin Dragons is certainly to become a long running comic, I got lots of plans. Gamer Dragons is here to stay as well, but maybe I have to change the schedule around a little to work around my job in the future.
Extraordinarily interesting web-comic and story idea you’ve got there. I see where you’re heading, so I already like the topics you’ll go through. It’s a bit to sweet for my taste sometimes, but all in all well drawn and well wrote.
And the current situation is just heart-warming. More comics like these are needed in my opinion, best way to reach people and open up to one another. You certainly got me as a loving follower.
Thanks you very much for the kind words. I just love light-hearthed stories that don’t sprinkle drama all over, so that’s what my comic will reflect ^^
Is Benji’s named based on the dog from the movies?
No, I don’t even know what movie that would be. :p I came up with it together with a friend, so maybe she was thinking of the dog from the movies.
If I had to guess I’d say the Homeword Bound movies, if memory serves (and it has been several years, so I could be wrong) one of the dogs in it was named Benji, and your Benji looks quite a bit like him.
You people are starting to make me feel old. >.>

Hmmmmm……..yet another place where people mistake blood parents for real parents. At least Benji has it right, they don’t have to be your blood parents to be your real parents, so I’m going to go with it being how you wrote Kai and Kaya, which means great job with this scene.
Oh yeah, it’s just how I wrote it. It’s their first time meeting someone who’s adopted and with gay parents. I would think it’s natural to ask these questions. Benji is closest to my own view on the matter.
Really, really really loving the comic so far. Bringing in so many aspects of how problematic such an issue would be (the hybrid thing) , yet keeping it light and funny at the same time.
Just asking though, time-wise, they are roughly around the same date as Real-Life? So the appearance of hybrid started something like in the late 80s there?
If you go off the date this comic was create as “real time” then hybrids first started appearing in the late 90’s early 2000’s.

Benji has a pretty standard reaction to being adopted. Nice, most people assume it’s all angst
I can’t imagine what it would be like to be adopted, so I can’t really relate. But I’m happy to see Benji having an upbeat attitude about the subject.
Imagine how awkward it would be if Benji’s adoptive parents originally thought he was a malformed puppy.
It didn’t occur to me that they weren’t his biological parents until it was brought up, oddly enough. Guess I’ve been reading too much sci-fi. Genetic manipulations and all that.
My mother’s parents actually divorced while she was at college age. Her father got custody of the kids and later re-married so when she talks about her mother, I always ask her the same question: “Are you talking about your biological mother or your real mother?”
Just hope that the blood parents won’t appear a day to see how/if Benji is fine with his life ………………..
