I am predicting a stunning lack of raised hands this week.
Rex really needs to learn that gifts ARE TO BE ACCEPTED. Like, if someone ‘gifts’ you something that you don’t like or is actively offensive, it’s fine to refuse it. But you don’t need to treat it as a debt or a favour. Gifts are given because someone wants you to be happy.
Now to try and guess the new cosplay. My first guess for Amy was Gracia from Samurai Warriors (specifically her Rank II promotion from Pokémon Conquest), just because of the hat. But, wrong colours, and also not quite frilly enough.
And… no idea about Niomi. My best guess would be… a subverted Red Riding Hood of some kind?
Perhaps Amy is a Mad Hatter?
I’d go with that. 🙂
I -think- Nomi is a kind of Red Riding Hood, but have forgotten. I believe we saw her drawn on Robin’s regular Sunday stream and he told us, but, like I said, I have forgotten! 😉
A top hat that looks like it should fall off, and yet stays in place, matches the description of Rose in Doctor Sleep by Stephen King. I don’t think the rest of Amy’s costume matches though. The green bowtie in particular doesn’t seem like Rose’s style.
And of course the lucky bunny would win the grand prize. I’m not surprised that she’d have all the collectibles already.
It would have been luckier for the lucky bunny if the prize had been something she wanted.
Is IS something she wants, she just doesn’t know it yet! 😉
“Birthday Dragons” xD
Be funny if that stuck around. Imagine having to explain such a nickname. It sounds like there’s more of a story behind it than there is ^^
Weird raffle system(to me). Not at all like the ones I tend to encounter. Also Interesting that she’d check so early, rather than after collecting multiple entries. Usually raffles I encounter are draws that you submit tickets/earn tickets for, which correspond to tickets that are later drawn by raffle owners(if you are there during the draw, which’d happen either end of each day or end of event, you collect you prize, otherwise they contact you or draw again, usually former at a con)
It seems this one is ill thought out by the organisers. Comparing you ticket to a list of tickets, I assume. This method allows the issue of what just happened(prize going away super early, killing interest), increases the chance someone won’t collect their prize cause they never check, and increase odds of fraud(someone looking at the list and controlling who gets the prize). They’d likely get a ton of scrutiny for this.
…I wonder if this is foretelling the twins or Cleo/Rex getting the set. Maybe as an exchange for whatever prize they win, which Amy’ll want more. The twins seem to really like C&D, but honestly, I more see Rex, with his prior interest, or Cleo, who likes to make people happy, in the Catacomb Master seat.
Given Amy’s reaction to Rex last time I would guess he will be the recipient.
I think it would be more likely that Benji would end up with the set, since he has already been the DM in comic.
Are they drawing winners while lottery tickets are still being handed out? Normally lottery tickets would be sold or given away until they’re all gone or until a set deadline, then any unsold tickets would be removed from the set, and then the draw would be held at a set time later than the deadline.
Or were those the last two tickets? But it still seems strange that they’d hold the draw so early in the day, and so soon after handing out the last ticket.
I was thinking more along the lines of those spinning containers that let out a ball that you sometimes see in anime. Those get drawn as someone buys a ticket.
Ah, so a Bingo kinda thing? Fair enough, I was thinking along the lines of each person gets a special entry made of folded cardboard, you open a panel on it to reveal your winning letter/icon, you match your letter/icon with the list for the series in question (C&D in this case) to reveal your prize. Any prize can go at any time. I’ve tried the card type a few times, gotten tiny towels, little pillows, once got a statue of a My Hero Achademia villain that I know nothing about…
Where I’m from, raffles are usually done with these:
https://a.co/d/akCpbLL
You purchase a certain number of tickets, and each “ticket” is actually only half of what’s on the roll. Each ticket has a unique number. The vendor will give you the half that says “keep this coupon,” and the vendor will keep the other half with the identical number as what’s on your coupon.
There’s another system, often done by car dealerships, where every mailbox in a ZIP code will be given a promotional flyer with a “lottery” number. The winning number is pre-determined, and is supposedly mailed to a random person. (99.9% of the tickets mailed are a “5% off a $50 oil change” which just makes the thing feel like a scam to sell more oil changes, SMH.) Regardless, that system could work. They set up a bulletin board at the dealership with a list of the winning numbers, and people can come in to check their tickets whenever.
So, something like this? (To use a real-world photo, instead of an anime clip.)

Fun fact… Amy didn’t buy anything because she had it all, and she won anyway XD
Amy may be dressed fancy, but how fancy is she deep down? And how much luck does she have left for the rest of the day?
Hat Bun! Is Amy the Mad Hatter or the March Hare? I know Nomi is Bloody Red Riding Hood. I wonder what River is dressed as…
Kai and Kaya are reunited with the Lucky Bunny and aren’t apprehensive around her, I guess pelting her with a Jacuzzi’s worth of water balloons eliminated any lingering animosity and frustration. I wonder if Amy can keep herself together when she sees Rex with the twins. His goofy costume may make it easier for her.
I find it funny how River and Amy were doing a Team Rocket performance in their debut chapter, now Kai and Kaya are dressed as Jessie and James. Both of them need their own Meowths, though, and maybe a Wobbufet.
Is it Kai or Kaya addressing Amy in panel 6? I need to know which voice to use.
Both of them.
There’s clearly only one tail to the balloon.
Both of them are offscreen in the same direction. There’s no strict requirement to multi-tail a speech balloon in that situation, regardless of how many speakers there are.
Sorry, I was looking at panel 7.
♪ We are both ventriloquists, and we practice every day! ♪
Difficult to say. Kai had more interaction with her but Kaya is more outspoken (and loud). But if it was only one I would guess Kai.
Both of them, actually. My bad for not adding two tails :p
Can’t you fix it?
It doesn’t need to be fixed.
Agreed. It hurts nothing now, and would add nothing.
Besides; NObody’s perfect, and not everything needs to be fixed.
The bonkers bunny wins the prize,
but she doesn’t need the gift.
Oh, look, here come two Dragons…
Surely not on the grift?
Cleo’s got herself a big new friend,
resisting all her persuasions – just.
She having to employ all her wiles
to get him to take what he must.
The twins have to meet Nomi,
they’re being rude if they don’t.
She might hit them with her club
If they talk, then she won’t.
Diolch yn fawr iawn.
And if there’s a grift, I think it would be from Rex, inadvertently. We know of her crush, and we know he might want it…we’ll see how it goes.
Definitely getting more RexCleo vibes from the first two panels…
Clex?
Reo?
Nomi was the racoon hybrid in the coffee shop, wasn’t she?
So it seems. So either Nomi is significantly older than Amy, and surprisingly short, or else it looks like a child runs a coffee shop.
Or the Coffee Shop is owned & run by Nomi’s Parents. Which is more likely, given that the oldest Nomi could be is 16 Years Old (maybe 17, depending on how much time has passed since the comic started), and either the coffee shop was named after her, or she was named after their coffee shop, with the former being more likely.
Aye, Robin confirmed. Children are allowed to work family business. Laws are flexible, at least where Robin is from, when it comes to that.
Though, which name came first? Don’t think we know that answer. Hope it’s the former.
That’s right. Children can help out in the family business, but rules around this are SUPER STRICT because we don’t want to encourage child labor. As such, there are a lot of rules around it and you get actively checked on to see if your kid isn’t actually working a job instead of helping out now and then.
As such, Nomi fills in when it’s busy or when something else comes up ^^
That is right, the coffee shop is owned by her parents and is named after her ^^
She’s helping out her parents in their coffee shop sometimes. She doesn’t have a job, just filling in when it’s busy.
Lemur hybrid 😀
Yes, that’s the same Nomi ^^
Prediction.. amy tries to give the grand prize to her cousin, and Nora suggests giving it to Benji. Who certainly would be able to put it to good use..
It took me a while but ive finally reached this last page. And i must say i really had quite the wonderful experience reading your comic. Cant wait to see whats in stored for the future. Keep it up.💚
Quick question is your (get me a coffe) link thingie still available?
i think you replied to the wrong comment
Thank you, I’m glad you like the comic 😀
The ko-fi like is still available, indeed ^^
Robin!
What have you done!?
This the third or fourth time I’m up at 1am, sitting on your site for an hour.
I’ll be sleepy like Kaya tomorrow in the morning, for school.
I found few first chapters of the dragons two weeks ago on youtube, and found this website a week ago.
And after a week, do you SEE where I am!?
At the last page!
And right now, lurking for more I also read two chapters of Jesse Advetures, and little bit of the world building guide.
ok, enoguh of sarcastic positive rant
I’ll be waiting for the next page tomorrow, keep up the awesome work.
I have really never read such a positive, wholesome comic.
It’s refreshing to read something, where almost everything goes well, there is pretty much no bad characters (except for Larissa coming from time to time to make some chaos and get stopped by the mighty mcthunderpants xD), the dragons just keep smiling at you (love that), and yet it is sooo entertaining!
Counting in time it took me to write this, it’s now thirty past 1am now.
