Can you imagine a dragon karaokeing to “Through the Fire and Flames”?
You just gave me the mental image of Kaya singing “Through the fire & flames we carry ooooonnn…”, only on the word “oooonnn” she vents just enough fire fluid for a cloud of flame to rise as she says it…
…I can also see her TRYING to do that, but since she has the least precise control over her flamethrowing, the flame gets a bit too big and almost burns some equipment… 😛
Turning the microphone into a torch might cost her some points. 😉
They do say to beware the hot mic.
Also an excellent justification for a mic drop.
My problem with karaoke would be finding a song fitting for my voice (bariton) that I also like.

Don’t know what the different terms for voice style mean, but I know my voice works better with deeper voiced lyrics, but few songs sung like that are appealing to me. I think I can do OK at Linkin Park and other stuff like that, but the only deep voiced songs I know & like are “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen and “Hurt” by Johnny Cash. Neither are my usual style of music, but I like the emotion behind them…

Just thought I’d point out that any voice can sing any song. A baritone Batman belting out ‘let it go in Opera style should prove that! 🙂
Yes, Leonhard Cohen and Johnny Cash are good examples.
Bass is lowest, Baritone is still male, higher. Tenor is highest male voice.
Alto is lowest *female* voice, then Soprano is higher.
SATB (Soprano/Alto/Tenor/Bass) forms the majority of choir music. There are a couple of others, but not relevant here.
Johnny Cash is a Baritone. So are Josh Turner, Trace Adkins, and a few other singers.

“Arlington” is the only Trace Adkins song I remember by name, but he has plenty.
Also, for what it’s worth, a good DJ can find you a song version that’s been transposed down to your register. (Means the music is lower pitch.) Or, the DJ can adjust the pitch manually through software. Technically, you can do that yourself, too, in a program called Audacity, using a “NYQUIST plugin.” That’s more complicated, though, so don’t worry about it too much if you don’t want to.
I’d say “Ring of Fire,” but her voice probably wouldn’t match well for it.

Twin puppies!?
The karaoke contest is about to start and Kaya’s choosing her song. I wonder what kind of song she plans on singing, pop? Rock and roll? Country? Rap? Blues? Whatever her choice, Kaya has the energy needed to bring down the house (not literally, hopefully). As for Nomi, I wonder what song she already chose. The audience better be prepared to be blown away by a metal singing Lemur.
That looks like a big audience. I’d have stage fright having to perform by myself on stage. Nomi should remember her face mask, hopefully it blocks out how big the crowd is. Come to think of it, Kaya hasn’t performed in front of an audience like this before, has she? Hopefully her loads not confidence will keep her from freezing up.
Random thought…
For those with Original Characters for Twin Dragons, what would they sing? WOULD they be able to sing, or would they get stage fright? Or perhaps they “could sing in prison to prevent the criminals reoffending, except torture is illegal”?
(Kid-Me actually used that last one on my Mum. She’s not that good…)

I made an OC for the Kickstarter. He’s a singer. Hopefully we get to see him somewhat soon, lol.
He’s basically a younger version of me; I sing great in front of crowds, but I kinda choke up without any background music or stage. I don’t know what that’s called, but it’s kinda the opposite of stage fright.
I have a high tenor voice, so I’m good with pop music, some country, most folk, etc. I can’t grind my voice enough for rock.
I’d suggest Double Trouble, but it’s better as a duet.
with those twin puppies their are now tow sets of twin hybrids in the world. can you imagine if twins where born with one being human and onebeing hybrid people would question if their even twins.
