all french fries are belgian fries, they were invented there
what Kai describes is just the general best way to cook fries, once on a lower temperature to cook through the stick,and then on a higher temperature to crispen up the walls.
Gotta fuel up for the rest of the Con. Can’t have anyone collapsing for lack of food stuffs.

I would hope Belgian mayo is different, just can’t see American mayo being any goid on fries. Ketchup is what usually goes with fties here.
I enjoy dipping fries in mayonnaise instead of ketchup. Maybe that makes me weird, but I don’t mind. Admittedly I haven’t tried Belgian mayonnaise.
in my neck of the woods, we put both on our fries – its called ‘tollgate style’, due to the red+white stripes…..and belgians tend to prefer remoulade. seriously, the only thing i would never put on fries is mustard *shudder*
I eat mine with mayo and maybe a little too much black pepper.
I hate commercial ketchup, mayo all the way for me!
Or salt and vinegar.

Where do you see a piece of cheese? I zoomed in up to a level where I can see pixels, but still can’t make out a piece of cheese (or any airborne object).
It was thrown in a way that it slapped over her eyes. It’s an internet joke. Shouldn’t be hard to find on YouTube
Now I see it, thanks for clarifying. While I found the lack of eyes irritating, I missed the slightly brighter shade of yellow.
And now I wonder what do you americans call ‘mayonnaise’, because I have no problem with my french mayonnaise.
From what I could find: “American-style mayo, like Hellman’s, uses whole eggs, lemon juice, and oil and is seasoned with salt and sometimes a bit of sugar. French-style mayonnaise uses egg yolks as well as mustard in addition to lemon juice and oil and is seasoned simply with salt.”
I’ve tried American mayo on fries and thought it was okay, but I suppose the sweetness could off-putting to some.
Depends on who you ask. For most people it’s kraft or miracle whip.. basically a mix of hydrogenated vegetable oil and emulsifiers. Its white, roughly the right textur3, but has a chemical tinged taste. Or more commonly the generic brands which are the same stuff but often with a sharper taste and a slight greyish tinge.
Only the really expensive brands are made with anything resembling the proper ingredients.
I use “Duke’s” mayonaise almost exclusively.
Ingredients: Soybean oil, eggs, water, distilled and cider vinegar, salt, oleoresin paprika, natural flavors, calcium disodium EDTA added to protect flavor.
Cat girl Tyla got cheesed so hard, she crashed into a stall at Kaya level destruction. Looks like Luther is in the dog house for this.
Viper and Drago are peddling books, I see. I hope they sell a lot. So Kai has eaten Belgian style French fries, I wonder where he’s tasted them… Maybe when he was in Italy with his family? I wonder what the story behind that experience is… Rex has his mind blown by this revelation of overseas cuisine. There’s a lot of great costumes here, “Whitebeard” Misha, “Riley” Luther (I thought he was Sir Aaron at first), and Tyla. If Luther is going as Riley, does that mean his older brother Max is going as Lucario?
There’s a crash in the background and for once, Kaya isn’t the cause or involved! I guess she can’t go over her quota for the day. How often is there something broken like that with Kaya in the vicinity and she isn’t involved in any way? The odds must be pretty low.
My first time going to a convention I brought some snacks, I underestimated how sparse food can be at a convention. The food stalls had an hour wait for the line, all the restaurants nearby were packed to capacity or closed early because they ran out of inventory, and most bars wouldn’t let someone in cosplay in (a friend I went with wasn’t able to change out without going back to our hotel room) it resulted in a sour end to day one, but I’ve been sure to properly prepare ever since. I was called crazy, until the group I was with the second time ran into the same problem.
Obviously, he’s never heard of fry sauce. It’s basically equal parts mayonnaise and ketchup, and is used for dipping the thing it’s named after. That said, it’s mostly just part of culture around Utah and Idaho – I undsrstand other areas will mostly go “What’s fry sauce?” 🙃 It’s also something you’re not likely to find on menus – people who like it tend to mix it themselves.
Personally, I don’t like it, but I’ve seen people using it during restaurant hangouts. 😅
first off rex takes hungry like the wolf to a whole new level. sorry had to make that joke. second drago and viper in the tried panel. always nice to see the comics power couple and i don’t care if that is not what they are because that is what i’m calling them for the fun of it. finally i’m ignoring the main characters in the last three panel and asking.; what in their world and ours is going on with the two back round characters of panel 4 and 5!?
