You should write your own original poetry. You’ve been improving from pretty good to incredible.
I’ve felt this during my black belt examination. Three day test: day one was endurance, day two was formations, and day three was Katas and sparring. On the fourth day, I couldn’t move.
I see you went with the face-down version. I guess he’ll have a bit of a dent in the carpet where his face is, but at least it’s not as painful as face-up would be.
I don’t think that it’s a carpet , when we can see it’s in the corridor too ………. Then , have you already tried to open a door on a carpet ? X_X
Flooring is often not really specific. However, I believe I can confidently say it is not hardwood, tile or concrete, and it’s difficult to find non-carpet materials in that color. Also, I did not say it is a rug; carpeting can cover complex areas if you cut it right. (My previous apartments were pretty much fully carpeted, except for bathrooms and the kitchen.)
And yes, I have tried to open a door on carpet. If your bottom clearance is good, it’s no harder than on any other surface.
Could be linoleum.

It looked more pleasing to the eye as well, as I didn’t need to have an unnatural bent in his tail to accomodate a face-up position xD

I just saw the day/days thing in panel 1, but in panel 4, I don’t believe a hyphen is required for well-rested, and question if it’s really even allowed.
English is more of an art than a science; but that said, you are correct.
A hyphen is generally used to compound words (make multiple words functionally a single word). In this sentence, “well” is a standalone adjective modifying “rested”.
Had the sentence been, “You need to be a well-rested dragon before the game,” “well-rested” is now a compound adjective modifying “dragon” and functionally one word.

For some stomach sleepers (like my brother), the floor can be one of the most comfortable sleeping surfaces. I went to a mattress store today; one of the beds there was nicknamed “The Park Bench.”
Luckily I myself have always managed to make it to my bed before falling asleep/passing out.
The keywords being, “Make it.” I can’t count the number of times I’ve fallen asleep on rather than in my bed.
As long as you’re on the bed, it counts :p
One time recently I fell asleep on top of my glasses. Luckily they weren’t hurt when I woke the next morning.
Obviously going to sleep early means before you make it to the bed. He’s just following instructions.
That’s one way to look at it :p

I know the feelings… When 21 stairs looks like a Mount Everest, and even your bed is too high to get in – so you just lie down next to it.
Always keep a blanket on the ground for such an occasion xD
When you reach that point, you doesn’t care about any blanket. You just happy if no one distract your regenerative sleep – except the one does it after at least 10 hour sleep, and with a great amount of food only for you. There is a level of tiredness, when even your gustatory buds
are shutting down, and no matter what kind of, just be food for you. In that state you wolf down even your most hated food whitout thinking about it, just because its “food”.
(I am not sure i write down right, what i was thinking, i from Middle-Europe and doesn’t speak very well in english. Sorry!)

Good advice from the coach. After a period of training, is good to rest to let your body recuperate.
Because at the moment, Kai looks steamrolled.
I was thinking about the shape of the tails, and realized that they are “pinched” at the base. What is the bone and muscle structure here?
It follows the tail structure that humans would have had, meaning it follows the tailbone and goes out from there. Any inconsistencies within the comic is purely an artistic license to make it look good :p
