“Could have been worse,” Kai, don’t say that! That’s almost on par with ‘What could possibly go wrong?’
That’s just as bad as saying, “at least it’s going to be a quiet/slow night” at work or to an employee
I thought, that they had played enough with Benji to knew about the rule… Or at least heard about Murphy’s Law…
The gang is finally in line for the signing of Jesse’s Adventure. Here’s hoping there aren’t any mishaps along the way.
All this as a non-cosplay wendigo wanders along the line, sniffing at everyone. 😉
…and 15 minutes into the session a new sign appears at the door: “WARNING! – Wendigo is real; Do -NOT- pet!”
On this type of event I usually bring my own food and drink.
That saves a lot of time.
95% of these kinds of events I’ve been to do bag checks. Some might let you get away with snack bars(water bottle, will usually be let in though it may have to be empty when entering), but many I’ve been to forbid actual food and/or require you eat only in the “cafeteria” space.(I’m actually really surprised they get to have their food in the lineup)
It depends on the venue. God forbid you have a con in a place that follows the NFL rules. (I’m looking at you, St. Louis Convention Center.)
I have never been to a convention that would NOT let you bring water in, far too easy to overheat and have it become a medical problem. And when the medical events of the convention are reviewed, you know someone would get in deep trouble for THAT kind of decision…
Doesn’t help that I live in Australia, which can be rough, even with the weather. Muggy is not an unusual descriptor for the weather around here, even in Winter…
Food should be allowed within reason. What if someone is on a strict diet and has to eat certain foods at certain times or heaven forbid there are diabetics at the convention.
Before you or anyone here jumps on me for what I said, I am not saying let let people bring in big meals or not allow people with health, medical, physical or dietary restrictions. Doing any of the latter can result in the convention and venue getting hit with serious fines.
In that case I buy something portable at the start and not at midday.
I see Cleo isn’t interested in the prized Belgian mayonnaise. She has ketchup on her fries.
She likely has tasted it before and was in a ketchup mood more than a mayonnaise mood xD
I wonder if Kai is inhumanly (dragonly ?) naive or optimistic ?

Cleo’s the odd one out with ketchup.
Everyone got the Belgian mayo fries, except Cleo. Does she not like mayo? You’d think a Snake girl would like something made from eggs… Kai is a cheerful dragon despite the long line, he’s even sassing Rex. Having to be Kaya’s twin must have taught him to be patient.
It took one eternity to buy lunch from the vendors? They must really be swamped, how many people are attending Hybridcon? And did anyone else read the time card as if the French Narrator from SpongeBob said it?

Is that ketchup or chilli? I have seen both. Unfortunately, I am allergic to tomatoes, so both are out, but I may try mayonnaise at some point.

first off i’m getting spongebob squarepants vibes from that time skip. i love it. second it seemed the twins have switched personalities. kia now being optimistic and kaya being a realist. i could be wroung thought. finally that is not a line but a maze pretending to be a line. ha ha. finally plus i’m calling it. they are not making it to the end of the line

Yehhh I feel this. I was at Scotiacon last month and as I came out of certain events
I had to pretty much immediately join the queue for the next event I wanted to go to!
That said, I had an awesome time and got to catch up with a load of friends ^^
So, when did you guys go to a Disney World/Disney Land property? I thought that was their proprietary cattle-control process.
