“I imagine it made a squeeky sound every time it hit as well…”
I can think of at LEAST three video games where that is a thing.
Is it just me, or does Benji look like he is at home in the chaos that surrounds him?
No Benji is more than happy with the chaos he creates
Nora’s character in that game had some issues I’m guessing!
I think this is the first time I see a coin really showing tails. 🙂
1. Cute coin.
2. Gotta work with what you got! *Squeak*
I wonder what language that could be. According to Wiktionary, “nora” means “daughter-in-law” in several Romance languages, “burrow” in several Slavic languages, “whereto” in Basque, and “farm” or “field” in Japanese.
In Sweden there are four places named Nora, and a song about three little old ladies going to the market in Nora.
It does in the Slovenian language (apparently it comes from German word Narr)
I also found honor (from Latin Honora), north (from old nordic norðr), small person/part (from the male name Nore/Nori) and light (from arabic نور nūr).
What made the squeaky noise? The plushy or the enemy? Would Nora or Any make that squeaky noise if someone squeezed them hard enough? What about other Hybrids?
I like the cheeky design for the coin they use to flip, the little bunny creature showing its tail like that. A lot of friendly banter between the bunny cousins, I wonder if it will change as the match goes on… So Nora means insane in one language? That tracks, she did seem a little crazy in previous pages, like threatening to shoot Benji with her blaster in the last chapter. I wonder if Benji agrees with this statement, does she drive him un poco loco? Or the other way around?
Nora beating an enemy to death with a plushy? If that stuffy wasn’t augmented in any way, I’d say that would be a slow death, like being bludgeoned to death with a small pillow. I feel sorry for the plushy. I just hope Nora wouldn’t try to recreate this outside of a game. Who would be her victim, though?
Outside of a game, I expect that the plushy would be destroyed long before the victim would get mortally wounded.
If the game system has spells that empower weapons or some similar mechanic and you successfully convince your GM that a plushie counts as an improvised weapon then beating someone to death with one ends up surprisingly easy in terms of crazy table top shenanigans. I once considers getting a spell that duplicates projectile weapons to bombard a target but my spoilsport of a DM said that a chair does not count as an improvised thrown weapon.
without context of being a tabletop game, kinda sounds like Nora’s just casually confessing to murder. fits her character, at least
Where is our poet?
He is slacking.
Is that Benji she’s beating on? There’s a hint of a tail at the bottom of the picture and it’s Benji’s colors.
It would be hilarious if he started dating her because she beat the crap out of him with a plushy.

*Does a bit of Google-Fu…*
According to the AI search helper thing, “The Slovenian translation for “insane” is nor (masculine), nora (feminine), or noro (neuter), as well as zmešan (crazy/messed up)”, while the Translator just goes for Noro….
I’m not going to take that as gospel, but I think that it might be good enough for here….
Was the plushie “weighted” like Harley Quinn’s purse?
Infinite weight to anyone but Nora. Source: it actually happened like that in a real campaign.
Mayhaps hyphenate “face down” in panel 3 and add a comma to “hit” in the title text?
Sorry, jprime; No and No.
“Face down” is being used as two separate words.
The comma is not really necessary, but you might talk your English language teacher into accepting it anyway. 😉 Although that might change if you added more text after that ellipsis.
I doubt jprime has an English teacher, that person would have quit (by self-defenestration) a long time ago.
The Golden Hammer in Super Smash Bros. Brawl makes a squeaky sound on every strike if you are unlucky enough to get its “bad” version.
That version of the Golden Hammer also inflicts no damage with each strike.
