Also in not a small part because in 99% of these cases, I can't directly influence anything no matter how much I nag anyone, so I tend to support from the sideline.

Good thing that Poland is against this awful law. Looks like I don’t have to do anything on my end, however others might.
Regarding the comic, Kaya and Kai looks amazing in Team Rocket costumes.
Also, even if this law passes, it will be DOA anyway, for technical reasons. I doubt people behind Signal would bend the knee either, and even if so, an alternative would quickly rise.

Team Rocket duo, Rex living up to his name, and the other two…? Japanese schoolgirl? But not sure what Benji is. A bit generic. (reads other comments) Ah, he’s Han Solo. Haven’t watched those in a while. Might have to fix that.
Cleo is absolutely a specific character. Her hair is normaly brown and that… I presume wig, is a bit too specific to not be a full cosplay.
I checked the later comments and Robin outright states that Cleo’s Enma Ai from Hellgirl. I never watched it, and wouldn’t have been able to find out who it was because “Black-Haired Anime Girl in Dark School Uniform” covers a VAST amount of high-school based female characters.
Is Benji going as Han Solo from the original trilogy?
Also, regarding the Fight Chat Control movement: I’m all for fighting against invasions of privacy, but I’m an American. Will the words of someone living outside the European do anything to help in this situation?
Living outside the European UNION. One of these days I’ll learn to proof-read.
While it holds less weight, it’s one more mail on the pile. I doubt they read them all, but it’s the amount that counts. At least that’s what I think.
and if the EU adopts such stuff, you just know the current political regime in the USA will insist on something similar. they’re already proposing all sorts of laws in a similar vein.
I just got a response from one of the emails! It’s a “form” letter, but it seems very well-written (at least according to Google Translate.)

Either Han Solo or Lando dressed as Han in the final scene of The Empire Strikes Back. I’m a big guy so I always wanted to go as Peter Griffin as Han Solo. If anyone asks who I’m supposed to be I can say, “Han Solo, captain of the Millennium Falcon, and the only actor who’s career isn’t ruined by this movie.”

Kai and Kaya as Team Rocket is perfect. Maybe they can find a Meowth plush at the con to finish the look. I can almost recognize Cleo’s cosplay, but not quite. I can tell it’s supposed to be someone specific and I know I have seen images but I couldn’t say for sure.
Near could’ve gone as Meowth. If she’s not too busy riding waves.

Another week, another chapter. I wouldn’t have taken Cleo for a convention attendee, she doesn’t seem the type to dress up like that.Speaking of which, everyone has awesome costumes! It’s a no-brainer that Kai and Kaya would wear paired outfits since they’re twins, though Rex is the odd one out in the group with his T rex onesie/kigurumi (he looks a bit like a dork). I wonder what adventures the group will have at Hybrid Con… Encountering friends or enemies? Signing up for any competitions? Taking pictures with fellow convention attendees wearing cool costumes? I hope everyone has enough cash on them to get whatever loot they get their eyes on.
I’m a bit disappointed we never got to see the end of Kai and Kaya’s Italian vacation, particularly the rest of their family. We never got to meet their cousin Giorgio or Emilio’s wife. Maybe we will get to see them in a flashback this chapter?

Also, ashamed to admit that the only cosplay I recognize are the twins’ Rocket uniforms. Cleo, at least, is wearing a pretty generic school uniform, so all I really CAN do is cross “characters in brightly-coloured uniforms” off the list of possibilities (i.e. she’s not going as Akebi), but with my colourblindness that’s as good as I’m gonna get. Rex MIGHT be a pre-herosuit Fred from Big Hero 6, but that feels like a stretch. And I’ve got absolutely nothing for Benji.
Or it is a hybrid of several cons?
