Kaya is wide awake again. The results are immediately noticeable.

man ive ride the bus snits i was 3 not alone mid you but been riding the buse for years
I rode it a couple years in highschool. It’s something unlike any other public transport :p
Now that Kaya does not have to walk, energy has been redirected from legs to alertness.
I think we need Chairmander to give us additional operation sequences.
Yeah, the extent of my knowledge involves distributing power between subsystems in FTL.
Apparently KayaOS 0.6.3 finally booted and the commands
shout -“[message]”
as well as
photosensors –open
seem to be available now
Maybe this is in correlation with the OS’s execution of every driver and successful boot of every (or most) module during runtime or because the GUI service (xserver by Xorg) finally loaded, which allows the user to interact easier, faster and better with the environment.
This delayed launch may have occured because of the attempt to load incompatible drivers for some modules.
Although it may very well be to the fact that KayaOS’s host machine (named “Kaya”) does not need to maintain balance and (as Thisguy pointed out) that energy could be redirected to sensory modules and the central processing unit. This theory can be tested if “Kaya” has to use
motoricsystem –standup
again, since it would reverse this process.
For more information we could look at the log files, but I am very confident that at least one of those explanations apply.
I have a feeling that this is going to be a thing now…
Only for a long as it is funny
Honestly, I don’t know how many more of these jokes I am able to write down – this (much shorter) one took nearly as long as the first because I kinda ran out of ideas (well I *have* ideas, but some are just not good enough or are too ridiculous).
But regardless, I do hope so, that I can write one or two more down 😉
They’re pretty good though. I like the idea of the Kaya OS xD
haha 😀 thanks
Mighty bus needs to be a superhero. “Worry not, citizen! I, Mighty Bus, shall grant you transport!”
For some reason, this makes me think of the cat-bus from “My Neighbor Totoro”
Oh yeah, Kai and Kaya riding the catbus would be an awesome picture xD
It really should. Public transport can be pretty lousy xD
In the last panel at does kaya have two sets of eyebrows? I’m confused
Nope. Here eyes are just closed. Those are here eyelashes
Just like Autistic Observer said, her eyes are closed and you see her eyelashes.
Kai: “Uh, Benji, did we just sever our heads and float them over the seats?”
Kaya (hiding bloody axe): “Um, no, that’s just a comic effect for voiceovers in the panel! No mayhem here! Now there’s a bomb on this mighty bus, if we go over fifty miles per hour, it arms…”
Well, at least you made something funny out of it :p
I guess it’s not something I’m gonna be using a lot then. I saw this in other comics and anime and thought it to be a good technique to show who is talking. Maybe I should have added the heads inside the speech bubble instead.
In my extensive ignorance of what conventions may exist in other comic styles, I have to go Silverwolf. I find the dis-embodied heads confusing myself.
It was an experiment in technique to show who was talking, but I guess I’ll have to apply a different technique in the future :p
Another one that could work is to give different background color for speech bubbles depending on who speaks
I could try that one. Although Kai and Kaya would be both green, unless I make Kaya’s bubble pink :p
This needs further experimenting.
I am surprised that in the world where hybrids are so common, nobody thought that maybe bus seats should be changed to accommodate that. I’m talking about tail holes. While Benji may be comfortable, I can’t imagine sitting on their tails is very convenient for the dragons.
Keep in mind that this is still the first generation of hybrids. The oldest hybrids are 16 years old. While companies jumped on the potential market to produce clothes with tail holes, things like public transport did not evolve yet. They tend to be slow at renewing (at least in my country, which I took the inspiration from). Add to that the vastly different hybrids, with most of them having flexible tails, it’s just not a highly important thing to address for public transport. I do agree that it would be way more comfortable for them though, but they’ll live.
Thanks for that comment, it made me think a little deeper about the choices I made for their world ^^
Another penny thought to include: I would be reluctant to put my tail through a hole in the seat of a -public- bus, especially a school bus. No telling what some twit prankster might try, or even something accidental like being stepped on. I think I’d prefer something more like a deep groove in the seat so that my tail could comfortably run out in front of me.
Or they could just sit on the edges of the seats or just stand. Much simpler that way.
Also: empty buses are easier to draw. But don’t let the artist know I said that! :3
“Onwards, mighty bus! To the land of knowledge!”
why are the buttons so close together???
