I think either the geeral audience aren’t metal fans or maybe a number of them were just left stunned. Maybe it would hav eled if Nomi more looked the part? Looked like somone who performs metal?
I really have to remember to read my posts first before submitting them. Especially when typing on a phone. So once again: maybe it would have helped if Nomi more looked the part.
I mean, if we subtracted the cloak, she would kinda fit in with the likes of Babymetal as is… School-uniform and such.
Oh Crisp!
Now I have a mental image stuck in my head of her going nuts on “Oh Majinai” But who is going to do Joakim’s part? Hmm… Rex maybe?
While I agree that you should check before you post, it was nothing difficult for someone reading machine translated texts for over ten years. 🙂
Kaya plans her response
as Nomi stuns the floor.
The audience doesn’t seem
to know the score.
Applause is needed;
more than she’s got.
It seems the audience
doesn’t know the plot.
The machine strikes high
as applause goes low.
The audience doesn’t get
how this is gonna go…
If later contestants can make their choices while earlier contestants are
screeching– I mean singing, then they can not only choose in response to a competitor like Kaya does. They can also watch the applause meter and choose based on what the audience seems to like. The contest would be fairer if all contestants would choose their songs before the performances begin.Absolutely, but that’s a tradeoff I made for storytelling ^^’
To be clear: It’s a problem with the contest, not a problem with the storytelling. A story can contain an amateurishly run contest.
regardless of how the contest ends, if Kaya learned something from Cleo, she can use this event as free advertising for her channel. Just saying.
….and now i´m scared of what kaya will sing – metal, but with her own flair? what does that even mean?!
Perhaps something that involves breathing fire?
I have a feeling the song will be “Burning Like a Flame” by Dokken (1987)
Kaya’s performance can only go well.
I’m expecting Through the Fire and the Flames by DragonForce from Kaya (with actual dragon fire).
It just feels fitting.
Con staff be prepared to make new rules concerning mythicals. Nomi is about to be schooled by Kaya, let’s just hope that Kaya doesn’t go overboard breathing fire while singing “Burning Like a Flame” by Dokken (1987) if that is the song she chose. Also, Kai, Cleo and co need to be on high alert now. Knowing Kai, once he hears the first few bars of that song and the title, he is going to freak out.
No matter how good or bad Kaya does, her Instawham is going to explode that is a guarantee.
The crowd definitely didn’t expect this from No- the Mysterious Masked contestant 17, mostly, but like she’s singing, there’s nothing wrong with her. Come to think of it, this reminds me of a scene from the Movie “Sing,”
Nomi’s singing was impressive, too impressive, as now a significant part of the audience is too stunned and taken back to respond or function. Too bad, because that was seriously impressive for the little Lemur girl. She must have pretty big lungs. Better give Nomi something for her throat after this.
Is Kaya looking for a metal song to sing? I wonder if it will be the same kind as what Nomi sang or if it will be a more energetic or lighthearted metal song… Maybe “Through the Fire and the Flames,” “Instruments of Destruction,” “Dare,” or “Nothin’s Gonna Stand in our Way?” Best to bring your ear plugs, because the loud Dragon girl is about to get even louder. She may even bring the house down or at least cause a localized earthquake.
All we know it that the song Kaya will be singing is from the 80s as Bodies debuted in 2001
