When gaming is in your blood, you gotta game.
I was a gamer since arcades came to popularity, but I’d never force my kids to play like that.
But I had 64 games for the atari 2600, well over 50 for the NES, 68 for the SNES, 28 for PS1
40+ for the PS2, and I forget how many for X-Box 360. So yes, they did play a lot when I was
at work lol.
I highly doubt it was forced. Usually when you force kids to do stuff and hogtie them down till they do they grow up to hate the thing they were forced into. They don’t usually go into local tournaments to settle lifelong gaming battles and take the crown from each other.

Agreed. With our kids, it was always a light touch and no big deal if they weren’t interested in something. Because of this, my kids were involved in a wide variety of things and we were very happy about it.
I get the distinct feeling that Amy’s Dad and Nora’s Mom are the siblings in this cousin-hood 😛

Don’t get me wrong in intent;
the parents are not being mean.
But, whereas one’s being kind
is the other just a little TOO keen?
Siblings brought up fighting
often pick up different styles.
Where one succeeds by aggression
the other wins by smiles.
Dora and Amy were both adorable little buns. Still are, in fact.
Nora only ever got up to 16 attacks per turn? That’s still pretty good, she aimed for the stars and landed on the moon… Of another planet.
Aww, baby bunnies! So cute how big their eyes and how short their ears are! It definitely looks like Mr. Fielders and Mrs. Cidra are siblings, they definitely share a few brain cells (maybe even a gland or two). Seems like their Tabletop gaming upbringing really was enjoyable for the bunny cousins if they still love to play these games to this day. I wonder how long it took for little Nora and Amy to fall in love with these games…
So Amy’s luck/skill with these games is at most 50% living and breathing them? That makes a lot of sense, if she throws herself wholeheartedly into playing.

Luck gives you opportunities. Talent/affinity helps you build skill. Skill gets you the win. (But that doesn’t mean the most skilled wins every time: if you don’t get an opening, you might not be able to use your skill in the first place.)
Oh, yeah, forgot to say: experience, analysis and practice are far more important for skill than talent or affinity.
