I don’t like this,
the pattern’s repeating.
People demanding
without even a greeting.
Call Cleo, stat
to explain the danger.
It’s better from her
than a total stranger.
Get your deck
but don’t double down.
Go get Cleo
and just watch her frown…
Well, I do like this.
I believe that those two are genuinely interested in friendship, no strings attached. And after learning that it is not that easy to get a shy nerd to open up, they are just very excited they came across the perfect icebreaker, to get this friendship started.
I’m sure that’s how Cleo’s friendship with the witches started. I don’t think these two are near as bad but a bad start can lead to a bad finish
Diolch yn fawr iawn.
Very much agreed. Not sure these two are that bad, but it’s still not good.
Masked lemur needs a mask.
Kaya: Do you have to ask?!
So how much do you all think the mask is priced? I’m going to say similar to the alien queen statue she got earlier or slightly higher than that.
And I think the twins are just going to play for fun and not get into all that meta stuff. Now is thera snake themed deck so she can play against Cleo too? e
Or one creates an eastern dragon themed deck and the other uses a western dragon themed deck.
An original, or a good enough replica to look like the original in a mediocre phone photo? Be careful, Nomi!
The chainsaw prop being sold as well, huh? Hopefully Nomi’s parents would put their foot down about buying a chainsaw (especially at her age) even if it’s not a real one.
Rachel and Agnes have no idea what they’ve done, as once again, they’re inadvertently sucking Nomi’s will to live. However, the pair are pretty accepting of Nomi’s interests and hobbies, so the little Lemur is lucky in that regard. Is there a horror franchise Nomi doesn’t like? Maybe encountering something from that will strengthen her resolve against buying more memorabilia. Perhaps she could get a job in a few years, that way she’ll have more money for her hobbies AND be able to save up combined with her allowance (if her parents don’t cut her off when she gets a job). But for now, will Nomi be paying for that mask in cash or kidney? Hurry Nomi, go check out that mask quick, before you come to your senses!
Kaya is still gonna buy a deck, even if Nomi says it’s too basic, because she wants to have fun, dang it! Now Kai finally shows his adorable, scaly mug in this chapter, right behind Kaya. How much did he hear of Kaya and Nomi’s conversation? And how much fun will the twins have with the two person deck? Since the twins are now at the tournament area, they can learn how to play the game by observing the matches.
Title text: Maybe add a comma to “booth”?
You can’t go around stalking unsuspecting horny teens with a chainsaw. It’s too damned noisy.
No, there should not be a comma there….. *sighs*
When “as well” comes at the end of a sentence or clause meaning “also” or “too,” it does not require a comma before it.
Why do you keep doing that year after year? Do you actually think you can change English punctuation rules by nagging a cartoonist?
I think he is honestly trying to be helpful; he’s just not that good at it yet. 🙂
I can no longer believe that. Jprime has been told time and time again, by several different people, that his commas are optional at best and often downright wrong. It’s impossible for him to still believe that his rigid punctuation rules are generally accepted as correct. Yet he keeps asking to have commas inserted in the same places, over and over, always following the same pattern.
I considered the possibility that Jprime might have lost the ability to learn, but that can be ruled out. At one point Jprime changed his nagging to read less like demands and more like polite requests. The nagging is still annoying, but the change proves that Jprime can learn and change when he wants to.
The only explanation that remains is that Jprime is trying to get his own strict and stilted style promoted to the One True English Punctuation Style.
Or possibly he has a learning disorder? It did take him/her a _LONG_ time to go from a “demanding” style to a “more polite” style.
I am 100% sure jprime is doing what he is doing with malicious intent, no one can be this bad at grammar while at the same time demanding that people commit to their ass-backwards non-grammar.
Without malicious intent to somehow ruin the comic, this would not be happening on every page for YEARS……
If jprime was just guessing, then over this long time the “corrections” would average out close to around 50% right/wrong, but we are sitting at at 98% wrong by my very scientific calculations.
“Is that even a question?”
It’s never a question when the answer’s “yes”.
Sounds like hitting them with a really big clue bat isn’t going to work. This “hobby” sounds like something any sensible person would avoid at all costs.
There’s a difference between “building a deck with intent to compete in tournaments” and “having fun with friends”; two-player starter sets like Kaya is holding are best suited to the latter. The former is, indeed, a costly endeavour that should, rightfully, be avoided; only a judgmental jerk would think it’s a problem for someone to partake in the latter.
They just want to play with Benji and their other friends. My son didn’t need all 5 parts of Exodia to have fun with Yu-Gi-Oh!.
