Nice birthday present, wonder what Kai will purchase with it?
I’ll bet it’s a video game! 😉 🙂
and kaya will likely get a kawaii plushie 😉
Using a 50% discount on a video game, usually a more expensive purchase, sounds like a good idea. The plushie can go either way, using it on a cheaper plushie won’t be as effective, but I can see Kaya going for 1 as big as her, so that would be more effective…
Meanwhile, Screwball is wondering if they have any of those collectable keychain clip-ons. He’s been banned from the internet for a while, might get to communicate again soon if he behaves, but I’ve reclaimed my account so I don’t have to say “Daniel here” every time I post…
Even if they could use them both on the same purchase, most businesses that allow you to stack discounts like that would give you (in this instance) 50% off of the remaining 50%, so that would cap out at a 75% discount.
Also, can never complain about seeing Business Snek again.
There’s always one, isn’t there?
Trying to add themselves to a list.
Looking to grab a totally free lunch;
forgetting that those don’t exist.
She planned for the unlosing to win;
playing both sides in this new hunt.
She’s making sure they’ll always win –
That’s a guess but it’s worth a punt.
So onward and upward from the dungeon
and, like Kaya, going on Giggle maps.
Will this be the final destination
and, if it is is it full of traps?
Noice, an early birthday present for the twin! Wonder what they’ll purchase.
Business snek means business.
Sir Haggis of Fields, gracious in defeat. I guess this loot from the Dungeon is also an apology for the trouble Amy’s challenge gave them. It’s hilarious the way Mr. Fields back sasses that one kid wanting a birthday voucher too, too bad Kai and Kaya are some of the few most deserving of them.
Meanwhile, Amy’s across the street behind the store, sweating waterfalls and panting heavily.
Amy: “Where… *gasp* Is he?… I must’ve.. *gasp* *gasp* ran around the block.. *pant pant* twice already!”
Amy then collapses.
And she’ll wake up to a ride home in Rex’s arms? Only to promptly pass out again!
I believe Astrid had a car waiting for Amy at the backdoor, to bring her to the final location (where she meets with the other knights to prepare the final battle)
That makes a lot of sense! (I was just joking with my previous post.)
Panel 5: Add a comma to “off”.
Announcement: Ditto “Hello”. Also, hyphenate “mini comic”.
No need for the commas. They’re used to indicate a redundant section of dialogue like, for instance, the words ‘for instance’ in this sentence. The other reason they’re used is to indicate a ‘pause for breath’ in spoken dialogue or a change in the direction of the sentence, neither of which is happening in panel 5 or Business snek’s line.
I think that’s how it is in a lot of situations. When you ask for a Discount or free stuff, it looks negative and greedy. When the people there find you in a fairly positive light, they may gladly surprise one with something like that! It’s better to give than receive. And it’s amazing too when it’s an unexpected surprise.
That lines up withy experience. I walk around my town a lot and stop by places often. I get to know the people behind the counters and occasionally get little freebies if I’m having a bad day or something. I never count on it and usually try to refuse, but some of them insist. I have on more than one occasion asked for a bottle of water or something that I’d pay for later back when I was living paycheck to paycheck, but I’ve only done that twice and I always payed it back
I occasionally run into that sort of thing at places I visit regularly too. At one of my favorite Chinese restaurants I didn’t have to pay for a soda with my meal for years, until covid ran the costs up.
Also; even big corporations will do it to some extent, but I’m pretty sure they’re not doing it because they like you. 😉 If you bother to send them an actual letter about something, especially if it’s a nice letter, often they will send you a small coupon of some sort, IF they reply at all.
snek girl be snekkin’
“Event planner? Yes, my mom.”
Here’s an interesting World Building question that just came to mind…
Are there any DINOSAUR/EXTINCT BEASTS Hybrids?
They did actually exist ages ago so their Hybrid mirrors wouldn’t be classified as Mythical Class Hybrids, IF there was any around. But if an animal went extinct centuries/millions of years ago, would there be any Hybrid versions running around? Any long toothed Smilodon Hybrids out there? My Sister’s favourite dinosaurs are the Ankylosaurus, could she have grown up with a armoured back & a tail with bone breaking club on the end?
Ankylosaurus; the original “ankle-biters.” 🙂
O_o That’s a suspiciously Australian thing to say, “ankle-biters”…
Do you come from the land Down Under?
Where women glow and men chunder?
Can’t you hear, can’t you hear that thunder?
You better run, you better take cover…
Frayed knot! 🙂 Though I would really like to visit, someday. And I -think- I have heard of my last name being in use there. But; I am in the U.S., eastern seaboard.
