Man, I love this gag. Butlers that defy logic to get their jobs done.
But now we must ask, how much merch did Kaya bring? I’m betting a ton.
It’s not logic defying. They’re simply good at butling. That may not seem like it’s relevant here, but there are some associated skills needed which totally are. (A good butler is unobtrusive until needed – a skill even Lurch has demonstrated, despite his size.)

A good butler does not sneak, or plot. He anticipates. If you’re not where you need to be before you need to be there, you’re doing it wrong.
Exceptional butlers run Scribe/Imp’s powerset as well. Invisible and forgotten until needed.

Kaya is bouncing around in excitement, would you expect anything less of her? Good thing Team Dragon thought ahead and brought their Jesse’s Adventures merch. With how quickly Alex showed up, I’m starting to think his secret butler techniques include the Flying Raijin technique and/or invisibility. The fact that Jackie was surprised means Alex must be a master. I wonder how Kai feels about the autograph signing, nervous? Excited?
What merch did the dragons bring? Did Kaya bring her Wendigo? And will Team Dragon ask any questions about the show? Troye is so cute, he just steals the show.

Just noticed that Wendi-girl (can’t remember her name) has long sleeves in panels 1 and 4 but short sleeves in panel 6. Oopsie :p
Well spotted! Yes, Jackie’s sleeves seem to have changed.
Well noted, but did you also notice that Kaya’s midline of her back was bereft of red fur in panel five? I’ve thought the idea of the fur/hair head to tail tip was cute in a Chinese dragon sort of way (Chinese dragons don’t need wings to fly! :D)

The change of sleeve length is nothing compared to the vanishing of Jesse and Troye (and their chairs) between panels 1 and 4.
And with all of this going on Jackie is still surprised by the sudden appearance of a butler 😉
For remembering Jackie’s name, it helps that she dressed up as a jackalope, so you can call her Jackie-lope.
Alex had disguised himself as her sleeves. They turned short only after he appeared! 😝
But it is kind of crazy seeing Twin Dragons officially crossing Jessie’s Story. Given not really an Avengers level crossover, but they each seemed like so much their own thing. I wrote stories about different groups of characters in Sonic’s Universe but never had them meet. At most I had a reference of one bypassing where the other lived.
Not exactly. Jessie’s Story is an in-universe thing and the twins are canonically fans, so this was expected. That said, the twins aren’t overboard in their fandom, so it can be easy to forget about it.

From my understanding, it’s not a crossover like what you’re thinking. The relationship between Jesse’s Adventure and Twin Dragons is almost the same as the relationship between us and Twin Dragons: they’re just characters in a story that we really like.

She makes costumes and she (at least as her character) dresses as a jackalope. Considering in universe the story was based on their actual lives with some fantasy elements added in Jackie probably does still share a lot with her character… Probably not the druid magic though

everyone is in a good mood which is good. alex the butler is back the sneaky ninja. i think that is what he would dress up as if cleo told him to. i wonder what he does on his days off. also if kaya gets any more excited she might start breathing fire through her skin. also plus i’m waiting for the three signers or whatever their called to say something about kia’s and kaya’s costumes.
Seriously, the one with the blue eyes and big ears sitting at the signing table. I swear I’ve seen em before in this comic.
