Third? I’m guessing the wendigo didn’t count since it was an actual wendigo and not a hybrid kid. Very curious who the others are. Maybe Jin? Oh I would lose my mind if he was there in Inuyahsa cosplay!
There is only one other (Kaya + Kai are the second and third).
Can’t wait to learn whether it is Jin or another mythical we haven’t met yet.
Well, there is no such thing as a real Wendigo, so that one may count. Don’t think that “unusual abilities” are necessary to qualify. If he does have any non standard abilities, it would be snow related I suspect.
Rule #6 of cartoon reactions – if you are interested enough, the length of your legs is NOT in charge of how far you can lean over a table.
If you look at panel 5, it looks like maybe they’re standing on their chair to give them extra reach…
From appearances, standing *on* the chair is a no. Switching from sitting to standing, however, is sufficient to adjust how far you can lean over the table if your hips are table height or more as demonstrated. However, judging by the difference between 5 and 7, standing on tiptoe seems to be an added factor, allowing full torso length for leaning over a relatively thin table. The distance between 2 and 5 seems to increase, however that could be explained if Kaya took a step back in response to the sudden proximity, as most people would do. That said, we’ve repeatedly demonstrated that Kaya is not most people.

Whether you count Jin as one or two is an open question. Is Jin’s … partner a sibling or a physic extension of himself.
i don´t think its jin, he´s way too shy yet to attend a convention….although he would certainly rock an inuyasha cosplay!
I wonder if Kaya and Kai have more than just innate flamethrowers built in, aside from being strong. While Kaya can’t help being a living incendiary, she definitely isn’t the most cautious with her power.
Kaya doesn’t just breathe fire, she can also create it externally from an induction stove thanks to the power of dragon/cartoon physics! Also, she and her big bro Kai have strength and resilience greater than their own mass. Which can cause trouble when she’s not careful opening doors, she tends to break them. Breathing fire is awesome, but the twins’ parents wouldn’t say so, given how they had to put out fires the twins have accidentally started (particularly as babies), especially the curtain fires. Looks like she’s no longer feeling dread about her potential loss of allowance.
Jackie is pretty lucky to have met 3 Mythical Hybrids, especially when the newest two are twins. At first, I was curious who the first Mythical Hybrid Jackie met was, but then I remembered Troye’s friend Phoebe the Phoenix Hybrid. I wonder if it’s safe for Phoebe to meet Kai and Kaya, given how prone to hugging cute things Kaya is. Plus fire breathing dragons, flammable bird, probably not the best combination.
I can’t remember… Does Troye know Phoebe “irl,” or does he only know her from the “Jesse’s Adventure” universe? If Troye only knows Phoebe from the “Jesse’s Adventure” universe, she might not be an actual hybrid at all; just an actor/actress in costume. Be cool either way though!
Curtains are mostly fire resistant even in real life. When you consider where they sit, they need to be resistant.

That’s a neat reversal. The twins were so excited to meet the cast of Jesse’s Adventure and now one of the cast is excited to meet them!
I wonder too; who’s the mythical hybrid in question? If that’s not Jin, would they be the phoenix hybrid that the author mentioned years ago, and has yet to appear?
O.M.G! Three, count them, three red heads in the same room! And the convention was worried about pyrotechnics on the stage?

I didn’t think Jackie could get more adorable before today. I guess I was wrong.
It will be a tragedy if Jackie doesn’t become an engineer. She’s got the inventing bug and she’s very very clever. She immediately wanted to know how Kia had accomplished her flame throwing. She also drives a super nerdy car that she’s hacked herself.
